How We Work

Advocacy and Policy Development Services

Every Client is Different. We focus our advocacy on key committees of jurisdiction for health care issues in Congress and federal agencies. However, no advocacy activity is effective without understanding the unique policy and politics that surround each individual issue. We help clients define their issues and develop policy solutions within the legislative and administrative context in which we advocate.

Each Strategy is Unique. We work with each client to develop a comprehensive plan that defines their advocacy strategy and implementation. We provide a number of services for our clients that complement and support the strategy including direct engagement with lawmakers and key staff, legislative analysis and monitoring, and policy development.

Government Affairs Consulting and Political Strategy

A government affairs capability is an undervalued asset in many companies and organizations. We help clients develop core capabilities to improve their advocacy including issue identification and prioritization, long-term issue management, third-party group outreach, and campaign advocacy and political program development.

Large Companies. Many clients with existing government affairs functions need help developing long-term strategies they can implement themselves. We advise clients on how to structure a government affairs function to provide the most benefit to the business.

Small Companies. For small companies without an existing government affairs presence in Washington, we provide a cost-effective capacity to coordinate advocacy with other company functions. Often we help manage legal, communications, and third party activity so that they support advocacy activities.
